Soap star 'secretly buried porn video when past threatened to re-emerge'

A distraught soap star whose racy past threatened to derail their new career was helped to bury their old sex tape - with the help of a top celebrity manager.

Melanie Blake, who has turned from agent to author with her new bonkbuster Ruthless Women, says she's helped cover up huge showbiz scandals to give her clients a squeaky-clean fresh start free from any whiff of gossip.

"I've been at the end of the phone when clients were sobbing over things they have done that are about to come out," Melanie told the Sun On Sunday, without letting slip the names involved.

"I've buried porn videos for stars that have done it earlier in their career."

Melanie has represented a slew of top celebs over her high-powered career, including EastEnders' Gillian Taylforth, Claire King and I'm A Celebrity star Beverley Callard - none of whom are suggested to be linked to a porn past.

But Melanie has used her experiences in the showbiz industry to line the pages of her new novel - and previously laughingly to tell which stars were the real-life inspiration for her bed-hopping characters.

"I couldn't possibly say, or I’d get sued!" she told the Mirror last month.

"No character is based on an actual person, but they are amalgamation of everything and everyone I've seen in 20 years of this industry. They say write about what you know… and I've known a lot of bitches and bad men."

And she says soap stars of a certain age are by far the most randy - which is why award shows can be such sexual carnage.

"Some actresses are so highly sexed in real life because many have access to specialist doctors who put them on particular blends of HRT that contain testosterone, which leaves them with the libido of a 25-year-old," Melanie spilled.
